Who is M’Baku in Marvel? What is His Power and Abilities?
King M’Baku is the current King of Wakanda and the leader of the Jabari Tribe, a group of Wakandans who had cut themselves off from society. M’Baku was a strong opponent of T’Challa’s rule at first, but he ends up having to choose between running against him for the throne and helping him protect Wakanda from Erik Killmonger.
Killmonger was a threat to the world, so M’Baku saved T’Challa’s life and gathered his armies to help defeat Killmonger in their final battle. As a result of his choice, M’Baku got a seat on the Tribal Council.
Two years later, when Thanos’ army of Outriders came to attack Wakanda, M’Baku helped the other tribes defend the country. Even though they were able to kill all of Thanos’s soldiers, they couldn’t stop him from getting the six Infinity Stones.
M’Baku was one of the few people who survived the Snap. After the Snap’s victims came back to life in 2023, the Masters of the Mystic Arts asked M’Baku to help the Avengers in the Battle of Earth.
After T’Challa died, the Talokanil, led by Namor, were a threat to Wakanda. M’Baku told the Talokanil to stop as soon as possible. When the Talokanil attacked the Golden City, M’Baku took in refugees and helped Shuri become the new Black Panther so they could fight Namor in the final battle.
Once Namor gave up and Wakanda went back to normal, Shuri decided to travel the world, so M’Baku called for a challenge for the throne of Wakanda.
