Seth and Evan, two teens ready to graduate from high school, are played by Jonah Hill and Michael Cera. The story, written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg when they were 13 years old, was largely based on their Grade 12 experience at Point Grey Secondary School in Vancouver during the 1990s. The major characters share the same surname as the authors.
Rogen was also originally cast as Seth, but owing to his age and physical size, Hill was cast as Seth, while Rogen played the reckless Officer Michaels, opposite Saturday Night Live star Bill Hader as Officer Slater.
On August 13, 2007, Superbad opened at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. Fun Size, also known as Half Pint in some countries, is a 2012 American teen comedy film directed and written by Josh Schwartz.
The film, which stars Victoria Justice, Thomas Mann, Jane Levy, and Chelsea Handler, tells the story of a teenage girl’s Halloween plans to go awry when she’s made to babysit her young brother, who disappears into a sea of trick-or-treaters, and she needs to find her brother before her mom realizes he’s missing.
