Korg is a Kronan warrior who was locked up on Sakaar and made to compete in the Grandmaster’s Contest of Champions with his friend Miek. When he met Thor, Korg helped him, Bruce Banner, and Valkyrie get away from Sakaar. He started a rebellion and took the former prisoners of Sakaar and Loki to Asgard, where they fought the Berserkers and got help from more people.
As Ragnarok began, Korg saw how Asgard was destroyed, and he stayed with the remaining Asgardians as they flew to Earth. Thanos attacked their ship a few months later, but Korg was able to get away.
Korg was one of the people who lived through the Snap and moved to New Asgard on Earth with Miek and the other people who did not die. He stayed with Thor for five years as he turned into a drunken hermit because he couldn’t stop Thanos.
In 2023, Korg joined the fight against an alternate Thanos and helped defeat him. He then went back to New Asgard, which was now run by Valkyrie. The next year, he went to Indigarr, where he helped Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy defend it.
When Korg and Thor heard that Gorr the God Butcher was attacking New Asgard, they went back there. When Gorr took the children of Asgard, Korg went with Thor and his friends on their quest to Omnipotence City, where they asked Zeus for help.
Zeus almost killed Korg when he hit him with his Thunderbolt. Korg lost most of his body in the attack. Korg stayed in New Asgard after he failed to beat Gorr in the Shadow Realm. Kronan Physiology
Kronans are an ancient race of rock-like people with four fingers and physical abilities beyond those of humans. When Korg is not doing anything, moss grows on his body. This is because he was too lazy in the five years after the Snap.

Superhuman Strength
Korg possesses immense superhuman strength. With the help of his Sakaaran laser rifle, he was able to knock back Cull Obsidian, the strongest member of the Black Order, with just one hit.

Superhuman Durability
Korg’s body is as hard as a rock, but it can still be hurt by hits from Hulk, attacks from Zeus, or someone using Mjölnir.

Korg is able to engage in combat without being overly exhausted from doing so very quickly.

In the future, Korg and Miek help Thor, the Avengers, and their allies fight a different version of Thanos from an alternate timeline.
- Thor: Love and Thunder is a live-action movie, and Korg is in it. Gorr attacks New Asgard on his way to killing all the gods, so Korg goes with Thor and their other friends to Omnipotent City to warn Thor’s fellow gods. But then they fight with Zeus, and Zeus cuts Korg down to a head. Once Thor beats Gorr, Korg gets a new body and falls in love with Dwayne, a fellow Kronan (voiced by Dave Cory).
Who Played the Role of Korg?
Motion capture is used by Taika Waititi to play Korg in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Avengers: Endgame (2019), and Thor: Love and Thunder (2022), as well as in the short film Deadpool and Korg React (2021). In the Disney+ animated series What If…?, Waititi also voices a version of the character from a different timeline (2021).
