I Am Number Four(2011)
D. J. Caruso directed I Am Number Four, a 2011 American teen science fiction action film starring Alex Pettyfer, Timothy Olyphant, Teresa Palmer, Dianna Agron, and Callan McAuliffe. Alfred Gough, Miles Millar, and Marti Noxon wrote the script, which is based on the 2010 novel of the same name, one of the Lorien Legacies’ young adult science fiction novels.
The film concerns a teenage alien on Earth who is being pursued by other aliens. I Am Number Four, produced by Michael Bay, was the first DreamWorks Pictures picture to be released by Touchstone Pictures as part of the studio’s 2009 distribution contract with Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

The Host is a 2013 American romantic science fiction thriller film directed by Andrew Niccol and based on Stephenie Meyer’s 2008 novel of the same name. Saoirse Ronan, Jake Abel, Max Irons, Frances Fisher, Chandler Canterbury, Diane Kruger, and William Hurt star in the film.
It follows the narrative of Melanie, a young lady who is kidnapped after the human race has been taken over by parasitic aliens known as “Souls.” Melanie and the alien “Soul” struggle for control of her body after being infused with a “Soul” called “Wanderer.”

Divergent(2014)
Divergent is a 2014 American dystopian science fiction action film directed by Neil Burger and based on Veronica Roth’s 2011 novel of the same name. Divergent began development in March 2011, when Summit Entertainment acquired the film rights to the novel from Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher’s producing business Red Wagon Entertainment.
Principal photography began on April 16, 2013, and ended on July 16, 2013, with reshoots taking place between January 24 and 26, 2014. The majority of the work was done in Chicago.
Divergent was released in the United States on March 21, 2014. Although the film’s action sequences and performances, particularly Woodley’s, were acclaimed, critics found its execution and handling of its themes to be conventional and uninspired, comparing it unfavorably to comparable young adult novel adaptations.
The picture grossed $288 million worldwide despite an $85 million budget. On August 5, 2014, it was released on DVD and Blu-ray. Insurgent, the sequel, was released in the United States and other countries on March 20, 2015. Allegiant, the third film, was released on March 18, 2016.

Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials(2015)
Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials is a 2015 American dystopian science fiction film based on James Dashner’s 2010 novel The Scorch Trials, the second novel in The Maze Runner book series. Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials was released in select worldwide regions beginning September 9, 2015, in 2D, 3D, 4DX, and Barco Escape, and by 20th Century Fox on September 18, 2015, in 2D and premium large-format cinemas.
It was originally scheduled to be shown in IMAX, with the exception of Japan (which was converted to 3D), because Everest had all international IMAX screens booked until the premiere of the film The Walk. The Scorch Trials garnered mixed reviews: some praised the film’s action sequences and performances, while others panned it for a lack of plot and character development.

Allegiant (2016)
Allegiant, also known as The Divergent Series: Allegiant, is a 2016 American dystopian science fiction action film directed by Robert Schwentke and written by Bill Collage, Adam Cooper, and Noah Oppenheim. It is the third and final film in The Divergent Series. It was supposed to be the first of two films based on Veronica Roth’s final novel in the Divergent trilogy.
The Divergent Series: Allegiant – Part 1 was formerly titled The Divergent Series: Allegiant, but in September 2015, Part 1 was renamed Allegiant, while Part 2 was renamed, Ascendant. Allegiant was released in theatres and IMAX on March 18, 2016, to mostly unfavorable reviews from critics, who panned the film’s lack of originality, character development, and choice to split it into two parts.
The film was a box-office flop, generating only $179 million worldwide against an estimated budget of $110-142 million, becoming The Divergent Series’ lowest-grossing picture.
Following budget constraints, Ascendant’s theatrical release was canceled in favor of reimagining the project as a television feature for Starz, followed by a spinoff series. Both projects were later shelved, ultimately putting an end to the brand.
